Who are we ?
We are a cloistered contemplative community composed of sisters aged 20 to 96.
Our mission in the Church is to bear witness to the presence of Jesus the Redeemer, the Risen One.
The Order of the Redemptoristine Sisters was founded in Scala, Italy, on May 13, 1731, Pentecost Sunday.
Living Memory of Christ
Called to be for the world the Living Memory of Christ living in them,
each sister tries to fulfill this mission by taking the Gospel
as source,in a contemplation of the whole life of Jesus
through silent prayer and joyful fraternity.

Blessed Mother Marie-Celeste Crostarosa
The Blessed Marie-Celeste Crostarosa, (Julia Crostarosa, 1696-1755) our Mother, is the inspirer.
Her liturgical feast day is September 11.
The Virgin Mary, living perfect memory of Jesus the Redeemer
The icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, whose Cretan origins date back to the 10th century, is venerated in Rome, in the Church of Saint Alphonsus. Entrusted to the Redemptorists in 1865 by Pope Pius IX, with the mission of spreading devotion to Mary under her title of Perpetual Help, this icon is present in all Redemptoristines and Redemptorists monasteries, as well as in the churches and chapels under their jurisdiction. We see the Mother of God, dressed in a red tunic and draped in a blue mantle, gazing with great compassion at her children on earth. Her face is sad: she is the Sorrowful Mother, called the Virgin of the Passion in the East. Her gaze, turned both inward and toward us, reveals her participation in the Passion of her Son and her prayer of intercession for each of us. Once the key is found, the symbolism of the painting opens up to us the astonishing richness of the "glories" of Mary. The image is a marvelous summary of all Mariology.

Our monastery
The monastery of Sainte-Thérèse, established in the diocese of Saint-Jérôme, north of Montreal, was founded in 1963, under the name of Notre-Dame du Perpétuel-Secours.
“I have placed watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem… keep awake the memory of the Lord.” Is 62:6
This is the vocation of the Redemptoristine Nuns: their presence is a living memory of Redeeming Love.
The coat of arms of the order
The coat of arms of the Order is: from azure to the latin cross reamed, accompanied by the lance and the sponge, placed on a mountain with three garters, accosted dexterously with the monogram of Jesus (IS) and sinistrally with the monogram of Mary (MA). In chief, a radiant eye, all in gold. Stamped with a marquis crown, supported by a laurel branch and an olive branch, with the motto: «Copiosa apud eum redemptio».
